Food-3Our food supply is one of the safest in the world thanks to the widespread adoption of sanitation standards by the food processing industry. Nevertheless, the CDC reports that each year about 1 out of every 6 people gets sick from contaminated food. Studies performed in processing plants show that equipment surfaces, worker apparel, and utensils are all at risk for cross-contamination of food products. AMI is currently collaborating with food manufacturers to reduce pathogen risk at key control points within the process. By introducing antimicrobial surfaces with the power of bleach and renewable properties, we can vastly improve food safety and increase available run time between cleaning regimens.

Solutions based on AMI’s patent-pending technology are in the pre-launch stage and are not yet commercially available.
