Despite extensive efforts by the healthcare industry to prevent the spread of germs, Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI’s) continue to threaten the safety of patients and providers. These infections are caused by persistent pathogens such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) that thrive on surfaces we touch. AMI is working with healthcare experts wherever care is given to create novel compounds and coating methods useful in stopping the spread of HAI’s in acute care hospitals, same-day surgical centers, outpatient care, and long-term care facilities. Since our treatments are nontoxic and can be applied to new or existing inventory, facilities can implement our protection quickly at an affordable cost.
